Four Indian players — Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya — have been selected in the ICC’s Team of the T20 World Cup following India’s successful campaign.
Sanju Samson, who was named Player of the Tournament, scored 321 runs in five innings. Ishan Kishan followed closely with 317 runs at an impressive strike rate of 193.29.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya contributed significantly with two half-centuries and nine wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah emerged as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 14 wickets in eight matches, including a decisive 4/15 spell in the final.
The ICC team is captained by Aiden Markram, with other players including Will Jacks, Jason Holder, Lungi Ngidi, Adil Rashid and Blessing Muzarabani, while Shadley van Schalkwyk was named the 12th player.
