The Ministry of Railways has announced that the Hisar–Tirupati Special Train will now run as a regular service, making travel to the revered Tirupati Balaji Temple far more accessible for devotees from Maharashtra and Central India.
With this upgrade, passengers can look forward to improved ticket availability and a fixed timetable, making it easier to plan pilgrimages and trips. Previously, the route was operated only as a special train, which limited options for travelers.
Officials noted that the regular service will enhance connectivity between key cities in Central India and the southern pilgrimage hub, offering a direct and more reliable journey to Tirupati.
The move is also expected to give a boost to local economies along the route, as increased passenger traffic can benefit tourism, hospitality, and transport services.
Railway authorities believe the transition to a permanent service will improve overall travel experience, including better safety, cleanliness, and schedule reliability.
The train, currently running as 04717/04718 Hisar–Tirupati Special, will now operate permanently as 14723/14724 Hisar–Tirupati Express.
