Actor Sara Ali Khan may soon have to complete additional formalities before visiting the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples.
The Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has issued a directive requiring non-Hindu visitors to submit an affidavit before entering the temples. Committee chairman Hemant Dwivedi said that non-Hindus must provide a written declaration confirming their belief in Hinduism. He added that the rule will apply to everyone.
Condition for Sara Ali Khan’s Visits
Speaking about Sara Ali Khan’s visits, Dwivedi said she will be allowed to continue if she follows the new rule.
“If Sara Ali Khan submits an affidavit expressing her faith, she will be allowed to offer prayers,” he said.
Sara has been closely associated with Kedarnath since her debut film Kedarnath was shot there. She has often shared moments from her visits, showing her personal connection with the temple. Her quiet visits without special arrangements have also drawn attention.
Purpose Of This Rule
The temple committee said the decision is aimed at maintaining the religious character and traditions of Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Work Front
On the work front, Sara was last seen in Metro… In Dino. She will next appear in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do with Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz.
