With the objective of effectively integrating skill education and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into schools, the “Vidarbha-Level Skill Education and Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026” was organized by the Lend A Hand India at Bougainvillea Banquets, Nandanvan. The conference witnessed the presence of principals from across Vidarbha, District Education Officers, officials from the Tribal Development Department, representatives from the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training, as well as several dignitaries from the education and social sectors.
The conference was graced by Divisional Commissioner Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Bidari (IAS), Mr. Pawan Mishra from Tata Trusts, and Mr. Raj Gilda, Co-founder of Lend A Hand India, as chief guests.
Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Bidari inspired all government officials to implement school-based skill education. In his introductory address, Mr. Raj Gilda shared insights about the organization’s work and stated that under the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), vocational education from Grade 6 to 10 will be made mandatory in Maharashtra in a phased manner from the academic year 2026–27. He emphasized that the primary objective of the conference is to bring together various stakeholders from the fields of education, technology, and skill development to ensure effective implementation of the National Education Policy.
During the conference, several schools presented innovative projects developed using AI technology. Stalls showcasing School Internship programmes, Atal Tinkering Labs, Skills on Wheels, Karigar Labs, and State Curriculum Framework Multi-Sector Vocational Education Labs were major attractions. The dignitaries visited and appreciated these exhibits.
Mr. Pawan Mishra stated that the conference would play a significant role in bringing skill education into the mainstream across government, tribal ashram, aided, and private schools. The event was successfully organized with the dedicated efforts of the Lend A Hand India team.
