Young city shuttlers Bhoomi Mukesh Jaiswal and Sarakshi Rupesh Hatwar played a key role in helping Maharashtra secure third place at the National Badminton Championship for Deaf and Mute, recently held in Chandigarh, according to a press note issued by Suraj Pachpor, Sports Secretary of India Deaf Club, Nagpur.
Competing in the Under-10 sub-junior girls category for Maharashtra, Bhoomi, a Class 3 student of Sewasadan Primary School, Sitabuldi, finished as the runner-up. Sarakshi, who studies in Class 2 at North Point School, was also part of the team.
