The Screen Awards 2026 were held in Mumbai on Sunday, honouring the best performances and technical achievements in Indian cinema over the past year. The ceremony saw a standout performance by Dhurandhar, which emerged as the biggest winner of the night with 14 awards across key categories.
Dhurandhar leads the night with 14 wins
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller received widespread acclaim for its direction, action, music and technical excellence. Dhar won Best Director, while Ranveer Singh was awarded Best Actor (Male) for his portrayal of an Indian spy operating in Pakistan. Akshaye Khanna also secured a win in the supporting actor category for his role in the film.
Despite Dhurandhar’s dominance, the top honour—Best Film—went to Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. Starring Janhvi Kapoor, Vishal Jethwa and Ishaan Khatter, the film stood out among strong contenders like Dhadak 2, Saiyaara and Chhaava. It also won Best Writing and Best Supporting Actress, with Shalini Vatsa being recognised for her performance.
Yami Gautam won Best Actor (Female) for her role in Haq. In the music category, Saiyaara made a strong impact, with its title track winning Best Song. Shreya Ghoshal and Faheem Abdullah were honoured for playback singing, while Gulzar received the award for Best Lyrics.
