Earthquake tremors were experienced in the Marathwada’s Hingoli, Nanded and Parbhani districts on Saturday morning between 8.44 am and 8.46 am. No casualties have been reported. The local administration have appealed to the people not to panic and do not fall prey to rumours on social media. The Disaster Management Agencies have been alerted. The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 4.7 on the Richter scale.
People ran out of their homes immediately after they felt tremors. Most of them were preparing to go to their workplace or schools, and cooking.
Vasmat tehsil in Nanded district have been experiencing mild tremors since last several days.
