Dacoit box office collection Day 1: Film earns Rs 6.5 crore net in India, opens at Rs 13.57 crore worldwide
After much anticipation, the romantic action film Dacoit finally released in theatres on Friday. Despite generating decent word of mouth since the morning shows, the film delivered a modest opening at the box office.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Dacoit collected a net Rs 6.5 crore on its opening day in India. The total domestic gross stands at Rs 7.57 crore, while overseas collections contribute Rs 6 crore, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 13.57 crore.
The film, shot and released simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, showed a clear language-wise split in earnings. The Telugu version led with Rs 5.6 crore net from 1,883 shows, while the Hindi version managed Rs 90 lakh despite a higher number of screenings at 1,917 shows.
Overall, the film was screened across 3,800 shows nationwide and registered an average occupancy of 26.4% on Day 1.
