The National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur, will hold the valediction ceremony of the 78th Batch of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Officer Trainees on 15 April 2026. The Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The ceremony is expected to be attended by the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma; the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis; the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance, Shri Pankaj Chaudhary; senior officials of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT); and other dignitaries.
The event marks the completion of the 16-month Induction Training Programme of 130 Officer Trainees of the 78th Batch of the Indian Revenue Service. The programme underscores NADT’s commitment to nurturing skilled and ethical tax administrators.
NADT, Nagpur, is the premier training institution for Group ‘A’ officers of the Income Tax Department, equipped with modern training and residential facilities that support comprehensive professional development.
Upon completion of training, the Officer Trainees will be inducted into the Income Tax Department as Assistant Commissioners of Income Tax and posted across the country.
