Vidarbha continued to reel under intense heat on Saturday, with most districts recording temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Nagpur registered a maximum temperature of 44.2°C, rising by 0.2 degrees compared to the previous day.
Across Vidarbha, Wardha emerged as the hottest spot, touching a searing 45°C, followed by Nagpur and Amravati at 44.2°C and 44.0 C respectively Akola reported high temperatures, clocking 43.3°C.
Officials have advised residents to avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated to cope with the prevailing heatwave-like conditions.
