A disturbing video from a hostel at Bennett University in Noida has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage online. The footage allegedly shows a group of students verbally abusing and physically assaulting a junior girl student inside a hostel room.
According to reports, the incident escalated from an earlier verbal dispute allegedly linked to remarks made about a student’s parents. In the viral clip, several girls are seen surrounding a student identified as Anushka, while heated arguments quickly turn aggressive.
The video allegedly captures students threatening and slapping the girl repeatedly. Despite the victim reportedly apologising, the aggression continued. One of the girls is heard saying, “Thappad toh padega. Are hogi!” while another voice allegedly says that the victim would not be allowed to leave until she cried. The atmosphere inside the room appears increasingly hostile as the confrontation escalates.
At one point in the video, a student can allegedly be heard saying, “Baap pe toh tere gayi hai… yaad kar, apne andar ki rage jaga.” The repeated references to parents are believed to have fuelled the altercation further, drawing sharp criticism online after the clip surfaced.
Following the incident, Bennett University reportedly took disciplinary action against the students involved. A student identified as Siddhi was allegedly expelled for ragging, while other students reportedly faced monetary penalties. However, another viral clip circulating online appears to show the expelled student reacting casually to the punishment, further intensifying criticism on social media.
