Vidarbha region continued to reel under intense summer heat on Wednesday. Akola was hottest with a temperature of 45.9°C, Amravati recorded 45.8°C, Wardha 45.0°C and Nagpur 44.2°C.
All districts of Vidarbha recorded temperature above 40.C.
The scorching temperatures disrupted normal life across several districts, with roads and markets wearing a deserted look during afternoon hours. Weather officials have advised citizens to remain indoors during peak daytime, stay hydrated and take precautions to avoid heatstroke as hot and dry conditions are likely to persist over the next few days.
