The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has scheduled a 10-hour shutdown of the Gorewada ESR & GSR Command Area (CA) on May 15, 2026, from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, to carry out inlet pipeline connection work involving a 450 mm × 200 mm diameter pipeline at Netaji Nagar, Gorewada.
Due to the shutdown, water supply will remain affected in several areas under the zone including Gorewada Basti, Vishakha Society, Nirmal Nagar, Darshana Society, Natraj Society, IQRA School area, Maharana 1 & 2, Sheetla Mata Mandir area, Jai Durga Society, Crescent Society, Nasheman Society, Tower Line, Gorewada Babu Nagar, M.B. Town, Prakash Nagar, Rathi Layout, Green Field Society, Manoda Nagar, Gayatri Nagar, Baba Bagdadiya area, Shri Krishna Nagar, Geeta Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Faras Bandhu Nagar old locality, Zingabai Takli, Welcome Society, Avishkar Society, Doble Layout, Radha Krishna Nagar and Purushottam Super Market area.Citizens have been advised to store adequate water in advance and use water judiciously during the shutdown period.
