As part of its ongoing Environment Conservation Fortnight, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will conduct a citywide cleanliness drive in public parks on today to improve the condition of green spaces and promote community participation in their upkeep.
According to civic officials, several parks across the city have been affected by littering, damaged infrastructure and inadequate maintenance, making focused clean-up efforts necessary.
The campaign is being organised under the guidance of Mayor Neeta Thakre and Municipal Commissioner Vipin Itankar.
The civic body has invited residents, environmental organisations, NGOs, senior citizens, youth groups and students to participate in the initiative.
Appealing for active public involvement, Thakre urged citizens to take collective responsibility for preserving public parks and ensuring that they remain clean, safe and welcoming spaces for all.
