As part of its annual pre-monsoon maintenance and repair drive, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will undertake essential technical work across several parts of Nagpur today. To facilitate the maintenance activities and strengthen the power infrastructure ahead of the rainy season, electricity supply will remain temporarily suspended in select areas for a few hours.
According to MSEDCL, power supply will remain shut from 7 am to 11 am in areas under the Congress Nagar Division, including Shivajinagar, Subhash Nagar, Nelco Society, Joshi Layout, Kamgar Colony, Tukdoji Nagar, Shastri Layout, Hingna Road, Patel Layout, Jayprakash Nagar (1 to 5), Sita Nagar, Govind Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, High Court Society, Ganguly Layout, Khamla Old Settlement, Sindi Colony, Milind Nagar, Pratap Nagar, Railway Colony, Venkatesh Nagar, Kotwal Nagar, Shanti Niketan, Shiv Nagar and nearby localities.
Additionally, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8 am to 12 noon in Gopal Nagar First Bus Stop, Joshi Wadi, SBI Colony, Second Bus Stop, Jetvan Society, Deendayal Nagar, Millennium Gym area, Lokseva Nagar, Jai Badrinath Society and Indraprastha Society.
In the Civil Lines Division, power supply will remain affected from 7:30 am to 11 am in Ravinagar, Ambazari Police Station area, Sengupta Hospital vicinity, Asha Laxmi Apartment, University Ground, Subhedar Hall, as well as parts of Gittikhadan and Manjidana Colony.
For industrial consumers, power supply in the ‘B’ Zone of Feeder No. 10 and ‘E’ Zone of Feeder No. 6 under the Butibori MIDC substation will remain suspended from 10 am to 3 pm. Similarly, power supply to plots D-1 to D-27 under the 11 KV Lamken Feeder of the April Park substation will remain shut from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
MSEDCL has appealed to consumers to cooperate during the maintenance period, stating that the work is necessary to ensure a safer and more reliable electricity supply during the upcoming monsoon season.
