Members of the Muslim community staged a peaceful demonstration at Samvidhan Chowk in Nagpur on Tuesday, demanding that the cow be declared India’s national animal.
As part of the protest, participants gathered at the city square and raised slogans in support of their demand. Community representatives also announced their intention to submit a memorandum to the District Collector seeking official recognition of the cow as the national animal of India.
According to the organizers, the demonstration was aimed at drawing the attention of the government to their appeal and promoting awareness about cow protection and its cultural significance.
The protest remained peaceful, and no untoward incidents were reported during the event. Authorities monitored the gathering as community leaders proceeded with their memorandum submission to the district administration.
