A powerful storm accompanied by heavy rain that lashed Kirangisarra (Kolitamara) village in Parseoni tehsil of Nagpur district on June 10 caused significant damage to houses and public infrastructure in the area.
According to local residents, strong winds blew away the roofs of several houses, while many other properties also suffered damage due to the severe weather conditions. The sudden storm created panic among villagers and disrupted normal life.In a major setback for local transportation, the ferry boat (Donga) used by villagers for daily travel across the Pench reservoir was reportedly submerged in the water. A motorcycle that was being transported on the ferry at the time also sank into the reservoir.

The incident has affected connectivity for residents who rely on the ferry service to travel to and from the village. Local authorities are expected to assess the damage and take necessary measures to restore transportation and provide assistance to affected families.No casualties have been reported so far. Revenue and disaster management officials are likely to conduct a survey of the affected area to evaluate the extent of losses caused by the storm.
