A special round of admissions has been announced for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course to fill vacant seats in teacher training colleges (D.Ed. colleges) across the state. However, only five days remain to apply. Interested students must submit their online application by midnight on July 12, 2026. Students are urged to act quickly.
Admission on first-come, first-served basis
District-wise vacant seat details for teacher training colleges are available on the council’s website. Admissions in this round will be given on a “first come, first served” basis. This special round is open to students who passed Class 12 this year and want to apply fresh for D.El.Ed., as well as those who couldn’t complete their online application in the regular admission process, made errors in their application, or didn’t make required corrections. Additionally, students who haven’t taken admission in any previous round can also participate.
If fees are already paid…
Students who paid the fee during the regular admission process but couldn’t secure a college seat don’t need to pay again for this special round — they can simply update their preference order based on available vacant seats and select colleges. However, previously registered email ID and mobile number must be used.
Important note
After application approval, students must log into their own account, go to step 7, and use the “Click to Find Seat and Take Admission” option to select department, district, and college type to confirm admission at an institution with vacant seats. Before confirming, they must verify the college details and click “Yes, Confirm Seat.” Once confirmed, no changes can be made. After confirmation, students must print their admission letter and complete the physical admission process at the college with required documents within four days.
Admission process timeline:
• July 8–12: Online application submission by students
• July 13: Online document verification by officials
• July 14 (till 2 PM): Application corrections by students; corrected applications verified by 6 PM
• July 15 (till 6 PM): Students select college and download admission letter
• July 20 (till 6 PM): Physical admission confirmation by respective colleges
