Amid heavy rainfall and flooding at multiple locations across Maharashtra, the state government has taken an important decision to extend the deadline for the centralized online admission process (CAP) for Class 11 (FYJC). The Directorate of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary), Maharashtra State, Pune, issued an official notice on July 6, 2026, announcing this extension. Since heavy rains led to holidays being declared on July 6, 2026 for higher secondary schools and junior colleges in several districts, this decision was taken to ensure students don’t suffer educational losses.
