Vidarbha Management Association (VMA) organised an engaging ‘Members Speak’ session titled “Rise and Shine of VMA Members” at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines, Nagpur, where members shared how VMA’s management programmes and workshops have positively transformed their professional and personal lives.
The session highlighted the impact of VMA’s Business Management Sessions and various learning initiatives, focusing on how participants have successfully implemented management concepts in their respective organisations. The event was moderated by Praveen Panchbhai.
The speakers included Naressh Vasu, Secretary, Rahi Shikshan Sanstha; Harish Kakumani of Shri Venkateshwar Scales (Orange Digital Scales); and Shreeprasad Dubey and Vijay Barmaiya from Universal Sales Corporation, Nagpur.
Sharing his experience, Naressh Vasu explained how VMA sessions enabled him to strengthen delegation, introduce annual performance reviews, and improve workplace efficiency. He also highlighted the implementation of innovative practices in the education sector, including better staff engagement, empathetic leadership, emergency proxy teacher arrangements, and enhanced welfare initiatives for teachers and students.
Shreeprasad Dubey and Vijay Barmaiya said VMA’s practical training programmes encouraged a culture of continuous learning within their organisation. They noted that discussions on BMS learnings during office meetings helped the entire team benefit from new management insights. They also credited VMA’s sporting activities, such as cricket, for building confidence, teamwork, leadership, and effective decision-making during challenging situations.
Harish Kakumani described VMA as his “second school” after home and office. He shared that the association helped him develop multiple skills, create promotional videos, understand the GeM portal, improve sales strategies, establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), and build a positive, skill-oriented work environment.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, reaffirming VMA’s commitment to nurturing professional excellence through practical learning and knowledge sharing among its members.
