A stationary car at Ram Nagar square caught fire due to a short circuit in the 9 litre CNG cylinder inside it on Wednesday evening. Although the NMC’s fire department reached the site within 10 minutes, the high-intensity fire completely burnt the car into ashes.
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident and the car owner, Nitish Shantilal, was sitting in a neighbouring area itself. He rushed to see his vehicle as soon as smoke started billowing out of his car.
The fire tenders from civil lines fire station rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. As per information, only 4 tyres of the vehicle were not burnt but the entire car body was fully gutted.
