With a view to inculcate the lessons of democracy among the students, the Raisoni Group organises National Student Parliament every year. Irani was speaking after inaugurating the two-day parliament in the city on Friday.
Rajya Sabha member Bhupendra Yadav, former member Rajya Sabha and noted city businessman, Ajay Sancheti, Chairman, Raisoni Group Sunil Raisoni and New Editor, India News, Manish Awasthi were seated on the dais.
Boman Irani shared his life experiences with the students, telling them that life is a struggle. People would not like to watch a movie, which has no struggle or no ambition. One who faces and overcomes the struggles in the life successfully, sky is the limit for him.
Narrating the struggle his family faced, Boman said the same struggle inspired him to become successful. He advised the students not to get carried away with the success and asked them to preserve the innocence within.
Manish Awasthi in his speech presented a brief report of the last six years’ journey of the Student Parliament.
Earlier, the guests lighted the traditional lamp to inaugurate the programme, which was followed by two sessions. A number of renowned personalities from cross section of the society participated in the sessions and expressed their views.
Sunil Raisoni delivered the introductory remarks while Shweta Shelgaonkar conducted the proceedings of the inaugural function and the two sessions. A large number of students from different colleges were present at the function.
