Son of the legendary Ustad Vilayat Khan and the torchbearer of the Imdadkhani gharana, he has won countless national and international awards, and was also nominated for the Grammy for Best World Music Album for his work with the band ‘Ghazal’ with Iranian musician Kayhan Kalhor.
