An Ortho Camp was recently organized especially for Police Officials at Police Gymkhana, Civil Lines wherein the attendees were guided with simple ortho tips by Dr Akash Saoji, Orthopedic and Spine Surgeon. Commissioner of Police, Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay congratulated Dr Saoji for his noble initiative. Along with Joint Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Kadam, Additional Commissioner of Police, B G Gaikar, Judge, Mantri, IPS officers, senior officials and Heads of Police Stations across Nagpur were prominently present at the Camp.
Police officials have to deal with various stressful situations. Many tasks carried day in- day out are tiring enough to give physical fatigue. Dr Saoji guided and demonstrated the officials to get rid of bone and joint issues and common problems like shoulder, neck, back, leg pain etc. In an interactive session, when one of the police officials complained on Varicose Veins issue due to long standing jobs, Dr Saoji demonstrated a small 1 minute exercise of toes which work on pressure techniques and help relives the pain to a greater extent. Simple 1 minute stretching, bending exercise that could be done at convenience can help a lot in dealing ortho problems effectively, added Dr Saoji.
