Jugele bags NDCA rapid chess crown

Ayush Jugele won the title in the Nagpur District 39th Weekend Rapid Chess Tournament that was organised by NDCA in association with Dhanwate National College at NDCA Hall, DNC Sports complex, Congress Nagar.

In the seven-round tournament Ayush Jugele scored highest 6.5 points to win the title. Sumesh Ramteke (6, 28) and Vivaan Sarago (5.5, 30.5) achieved second and third place respectively.

In the last round Jugele overpowered Saraogi on top board. On second board, Ramteke outclassed Aditya Bodkhe whereas veteran YM Shyamkuwar recorded the victory over Praveen Shrirame.

The prizes were distributed at the hands of VCA secretary R. N. Shriwas. Organising Secretary Umesh Panbude, Pravin Pantawane, Swapnil Bansod and Shrikant Bagde were also present on the occasion.

Final standings: 1. Ayush Jugele (6.5, 31.5), 2. Ramteke Sumedh (6, 28), 3. Vivaan Vijay Saraogi (5.5, 30.5), 4. Shamkuwar Y. M. (5.5, 30), 5. Shrirame Praveen (5, 33.50),  6. Lonkar Parth (5, 31.5), 7. Bodkhe Aditya (5, 30), 8. Ramteke Ayush (5, 28.5), 9. Ramteke Pramod J (5, 26.5), 10. Chandan Mahajan (5, 25).
