Rashtra Bhasha Parivar and First Bell On Stage will be organizing a five-day theatre festival from March 27 at Rashtra Bhasha Bhavan. The festival will feature six dramas, three each in Hindi and Marathi.

On March 27, which is also World Theatre Day, the events will begin with a three-hour theatre workshop. It will be conducted by writer and director Rupesh Pawar who will give an introduction to theatre at 9am.

On March 28, an open mic will be held where young aspiring writers and poets will get a stage to share their writings at 6.30pm.

Two plays, one in Marathi and other in Hindi, will be staged on March 29, 30 and 31 at 6.30 pm. These plays will put around 15 to 20 artistes on stage for the first time. The first performance will be Marathi play ‘Picnic’, directed by Prakash Lunge, who passed away recently. Hindi drama ‘Peshawar se Lahore tak’ is a production by artistes of Rashtra Bhasha Parivar.
