Passengers flying from Nagpur to Gulf countries will have fewer travel options as Qatar Airways has announced the suspension of its Nagpur-Doha-Nagpur flights from October 26, 2026, to March 29, 2027.
The move has surprised frequent flyers and travel agents, especially as the route has consistently seen strong passenger demand. The suspension is expected to affect workers, business travellers, students, and families who rely on direct connectivity between Central India and the Gulf.
Currently, only two international airlines connect Nagpur with the Middle East—Qatar Airways to Doha and Air Arabia to Sharjah. Qatar Airways had earlier reduced the number of weekly flights on the Nagpur-Doha route after previously operating five services a week.
The airline had also temporarily suspended the route in March due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East before resuming flights on May 22. The latest five-month suspension during the busy winter travel season is likely to create inconvenience for travellers across the region.
