Aditi, Devesh, Parth win badminton titles

Parth Modi, Aditi Tadas, Devesh Jena and Ameya Naktode won the titles  in the Morgaon Arjuni Open State Badminton tournament at Taluka Sports Complex in Arjuni.

Adit won women’s and U-17 singles titles to bag double crown. The men’s singles title was claimed by Parth Modi, defeating Devesh Jena 21-13, 21-19.

(Semifinals) Men’s singles: 6-Devesh Jena bt 7-Ritesh Anantwar 21-15, 21-15; 5-Parth Modi bt 4-Sankalp Gurala 21-7, 17-21, 21-18.

Men’s doubles: 3-Amit Gedam-Ritesh Anantwar bt Shlok Agrawal-Shreesh Kashyap 21-12 21-12; 4-Ganesh Sakpal-Tejas Khomane bt 2-Jayendra Dhole-Pranav Lokhande 21-16 21-18.

(Finals) Men’s singles: 5-Parth Modi bt 6-Devesh Jena 21-13, 21-19.

Men’s doubles: 4-Ganesh Sakpal-Tejas Khomane bt 3-Amit Gedam-Ritesh Anantwar 22-20, 9-21, 21-9.

Women’s singles: 1-Aditi Tadas bt Paakhee Jain 21-13, 17-21, 21-9.

U-13 boys singles: Ameya Naktode bt Jeeva Pillai 21-19, 18-21, 21-9.

U-17 boys singles: 1-Devesh Jena bt Shlok Agrawal 15-21, 21-16, 22-20.

U-17 girls singles: 1-Aditi Tadas bt 2-Shreya Nandanwar 21-16, 21-11.
