Opening bats woman Deepti played an unbeaten knock of 105 as Bengal pipped Mumbai by two wickets to win Under-23 one-day league title at VCA Civil Lines on Sunday.
Bengal chsed the target of 180 in 44.4 overs sparing two wickets. Thanks to Deepti who single handedly held the fort till the end and slammed unbeaten century. She was well supported by captain Tanushree Sarkar who scored 33. For Mumbai Saniya Raut claimed five wickets conceding 34 runs but in vain.
Earlier batting first Mumbai made 179 all out in 49.1 overs. Inform captain Jemimah Rodrigues top scored with 55. Vrushali Bhagat (40) and M Dakshini (29) were other scorers.
For Bengal Deepti got three wickets for 33 runs whereas Tanushree and Shrwya Karar claimed two wickets each.
