India Home Care Medicine (IHCM) is an organization who is serving the senior citizens by home visits since last 3 decades has announced free visits for 31 elderly women in the month of May. The announcement coincides with World Mother’s Day which will be observed on May 12. This is a gift to all the mothers of Nagpur by IHCM.
IHCM, a company owned by Dr Sanjay Bajaj, consultant Geriatrician will arrange free home visits and check up, consultations for 31 women who are above the age of 60 years.
There will be no charges for these 31 elderly women for the first visit along with the consultation which will be done from May 1 to 31st, 2019. Dr Bajaj will visit an elderly woman and during the visit ECG, Random Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure, Exercises, Diet Advice and a dose of injection of T.d will also be given.
Dr Bajaj will visit one elderly woman per day between 10 am to 5 pm, who enroll themselves for this service within the limits of Nagpur and Kolhapur city corporations.
Elderly woman or their relatives can avail this facility by a call on 9372718541 for Nagpur and 9960894444 for Kolhapur or by sending SMS “HOME VISIT†to the corresponding number. The scheme will run on first come first serve basis.
Dr Bajaj said that, Elderly woman fall amongst the most neglected sections of the society. Men also have problems but most of them have means to manage themselves, but this is not a case for elderly woman. Thus IHCM have a wish to serve elderly woman to the best of their abilities.
The scheme is a humble gesture of services towards the most noble trait of mankind that is motherhood. Western world observes month of May as month of elders and an organises numerous service initiatives for the old age people. India also needs to understand the importance of such observances.
