HSC students will have to wait a bit longer for results

Candidates of Class XII may have to wait a little longer for the results. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has not yet taken the final call on when the HSC results will be announced. The delay in decision making is likely to cost students too as they won’t be able to know their results early. Sources said, the results date may be announced on Monday.

A meeting was convened in Pune on Wednesday to fix the date. During this review meeting, the board officials were informed that Nagpur and Amravati divisions have some work pending. Similarly, two other divisions too have not completed entire work. Board has given three-day time to these divisions to complete all the pending work so that the results could be announced on May 27.

Earlier, board was mulling to declare the results before May 25.  Sources said if entire work is completed within next three days, then the board will declare the results of the examination online on coming Monday. Some divisions have not yet prepared 702 reports, which was also attributed as one of the reasons behind delay in examination.  Meanwhile, students and their parents are desperately awaiting for the results.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) had announced the results much earlier. Even, some state boards too had announced results of STD XII.
