Kapse, Wakode hog limelight for MRCC

Shubham Kapse’s claimed five-wicket whereas Ankush Wakode’s  scored an unbeaten century as  MRCC dominating the first day proceedings against Mujumdar Cricket Club (MCC) in Dr MN Dorairajan Memorial Cricket Tournament organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association at Kalamna ground on Thursday.

MRCC won the toss and elected to field, MCC were all out for a paltry 74 in 22.3 overs. Shubham Kapse ripped through the batting line up and claimed five wicket conceding 17 runs. Left arm pacer Shrikant Wagh was equally dangerous. He snared four for 19. For MCC, Aman Sharma (32) was the main scorer. In reply, MRCC made 229 for 2 at stumps in their first innings. Wakode was playing on 101 in the company of Siddhesh Wath (44). Pawan Parnate ably supported Wakode by scoring quick 45.

At Pandav College ground, Reshimbagh Gymkhana scored 254 for 8 in 66 overs against VCA Colts. Aditya Sahu (53), Gautam Vaidya (47) and Mohnish Kurve (34 ) were main scorers. For VCA Colts, Deepak Jangid (2/30) and Harshit Bawane (2/47) were main wicket takers.

At Gurunanak College ground XI Star were bundled out for 148 in 52.2 overs against Indian Gymkhana. Pacer Rajneesh Gurbani, Raj Chouhan and Gaurav Dhoble shared six wickets between them. For XI Star, Shalabh Shrivastava played a patient knock of 74. Shubham Dubey contributed 32. At stumps Indian Gymkhana made 46 for no loss in 10 overs. Gyani Kaushik was playing on 30 in the company of Sachin Kataria (15).

At Central Railway ground, Advocate XI was all out for 204 in 59.4 overs against AIR. Aman Khan top scored with 61.Vaibhav Chandekar (50), Abhijeet Sarode ( 22) were other scorers.
Kaustubh Vyavhare (4/14) and Divesh Ghusar ( 2/41) were main wicket takers for AIR.
At Ambedkar College ground MSSC piled up 318 for 3 in 68 overs against Navniketan Club. Thanks to Soham Pathak who scored unbeaten 126. He was well supported by Jitesh Sharma (69), Akshay Kolhar (49), Sachin Shende (42). Rushabh Rathod was playing on 32 when the first day play stopped.  For Navniketan, Akshay Karnewar, Abhishek Chorasiya and Bhushan Talmale were chipped in with one wicket each.

At stumps AIR made 11 for no wicket in six overs with Sourabhh Thubrikar (6) and Pushpak Gujar negotiating the ball.

At VCA Civil Lines NCA dismissed Lipton on 144 in 43.4 overs. Yash Kadam, Meul Buty and Nadeem Sheikh captured two wickets each. For Lipton only Prerit Agrawal (29) and Tushar Kadu (21) showed some resistance. In reply, NCA too had poor start and lost five wickets for 61. Atharva Deshpande bowled well and captured four for 13.
