The threat of Oral Cancer is looming large Nagpur District and its surroundings whereas the endemic zonal of Oral (mouth) cancer is rapidly spreading due to rampant use of tobacco and tobacco related products.
Dental surgeons, General Surgeons, ENT Surgeons, Head and Neck Surgeons are the people who encounter with such patients first. Keeping in tune with recent trends in diagnosis and treatment of Oral cancer, its prophylaxis and presentation and treatment advancement is almost importance. Hence to update 3600  aspect of Oral cancer, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Regional Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Nagpur, in association with Central India Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is organizing a CME on “Update On Oral Cancer’†on Saturday,  June 8, from 9 a.m. onwards, at Dada Vikyomal Shroff Hall, RST regional Cancer Hospital, Nagpur
The first session is devoted to Video Demonstration and shall be chaired by Dr. B.K. Sharma and Dr. S.R. Shenoi. Â Dr. Aniruddha Wagh will demonstrate the video of Hemiglossectomy while Dr. Pranav Ingle will show Ca Mandible.
This will be followed by formal inauguration of the CME from 11-30 to 12.30 p.m.
Second session will be presided by Dr. Sindhu Ganveer, Dr. Usha Radke and Dr. Mukta Motwani. Dr. Aparna Sharma Thombre will speak on Oral Pathology.
Dr. Satsheel Sapre will speak on “Surgical Management of Oral Cancer†and Dr. Prashant Dhoke will discuss role of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy. Dr Akshay Mishra will present “Peri-operative Managementâ€
Third session will be presided over by Dr. Prasnna Joshi and Dr. Sameer Jahagirdar. Dr. Varsha Manekar will speak on “Maxillofacial Perspective while Dr. Sudhanshu Kothe will present “Reconstruction Options in Head and Neck Cancer”.
Dr. Anjali Kolhe will speak on airway Management and Challenges in Head and Neck Cancer. Dr. Vaibhav Choudhary will highlight “Immunotherapy in Head and Neck Malignancyâ€.
DCI Credit hour’s points will be awarded for the above programme and there will be no registration fees.
