Aashi bags State U-15 chess title

City’s Aashi Dalal brought laurels to the city by clinching the title in Maharashtra State U-15 Girls Selection Chess Championship held at Pandharpur.

Three players including Aashi Dalal, Tanvi Adhikari, and Isha Koli secured 6.5 points each. However, on the basis of tie-breaker, Ashi was declared champion. Another city player Krishna Taori was also selected to the National U-15 Championship.

Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA) officials have congratulated Aashi Dalal and Krisha Taori for their great achievement and wished them a bright future. They will participate in the forthcoming National Sub Junior (U-15) Chess Championship-2019 scheduled from July 9 at Tamil Nadu.
