Ansh Dhanvij jumps to top place

Ansh Dhanvij jumped to top place with five points in Under-13 section in Nanaji Deshmukh Memorial Chess Tournament organised by Baljagat in association with Nagpur District Chess Association on Saturday.

Dhanvij remained unbeaten to earn five points in five rounds. He was followed by Soham Chhabda with 4.5 points.

In Under-7 seciton, Sahajveer Maras and Kushagra Paliwal emerged joint leaders with four points each after fourth round.  In Under-9 section, Soham Ranade and Aarush Chitre shared top position with 5.5 points after six rounds.

In Under-11 section, four players including Krupal Wanjari, Aditya Bhange, Malay Paandit and Sarth Padggham jumped to top position with five points each.

U-13 round 5:  Lohit Rushikesh (4) lost to Dhanvij Ansh (5), Dishank Sachin Bajaj (3) lost to Chhabda Soham (4.5), Dande Vyankatesh (4) bt Dhongade Tanish (3), Chhabda Aishita (4) bt Himanshu Dhongade (3), Ghugal Atharva (3) lost to Junghare Avanti (4), Waghe Shauryan (4) bt Dongre Aryasmit (2.5), Jibhenkar Ojas (2) lost to Bawangade Krish (3.5), Junghare Aditya (3) bt Raut Harshal  (2).

U-11 (round 6): Wanjari Krupal (5) lost to Bhange Aditya (5), Pandit Malay (5) bt Ramteke Ayush (4), Padghan Sarth (5) bt Jha Kushagra (4), Mishrikotkar Vidhi (4.5) bt Ghodmare Ved (4), Sole Swanandi Anil (4.5) drew with Gupta Himanshu (4.5), Badjate Bhavya (4) bt Dongre Pradipt (3.5), Gajbhiye Akshit (4) bt 1 Todkar Dhruv (3), Deshbhartar Dhriti (3) lost to Sure Jayesh (4)

U-9 round 6: Ranade Soham (5.5) drew with Chitre Aarush (5.5), Bajaj Sharaddha (5) bt Rakhunde Aranya (4), Bajaj Shreeram (4) lost to Thakur Aarit (5), Game Vritika (5) bt Bhartia Aarav(4), Rakhunde Aaradhya (4) lost to Damke Addhyay (5), Meshram Ninad (4.5) bt Agrawal Ritwik (3), Bansal Shivain (4) bt Ukey Manyank (3.5), Bhake Vallabh (4) bt Moon Arnav (3).

U-7 round 4: Maras Sahajveer (4) bt Pitale Kartik (3), Pailwal Kushagra (4) bt Sheth Mannan (3), Maheshwari Granth (3) bt Banode Ananya (2), Jaiswal Soumya (2) lost to Meshram Swapnil (3), Pwade Om (3) bt Jha Aarshabh(2), Kothari Jaydeep (2) bt Upadhyaya Garima (3).
