Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, run by Arya Vidya Sabha, enthusiastically celebrated the 5th International Yoga Day, Sponsored by National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL – Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi).
The chief guest, Dr. Kotekar, BJP Sangathan Mantri reiterated the fact of yoga being a wonderful combination of mind, heart and spirituality which goes a long way towards the complete development of the personality of the students.Ghanshyamdas Kukreja, Vice President, Arya Vidya Sabha, landed the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in declaring June 21 as “International Yoga Day” and said India will indeed prove herself to be vishwaguru. He felicitated the guests with Shawl, Shreefal, Sapling and Momento.Dr. Kumkum Boratkar, Yoga expert and Asso. Prof. NSSM, was the guest of honour on the occasion. Team of Being Capable Organisation, Amit Mishra, Yog Guru, Bhumi Mishra and Lakshya Mishra, Naturopathy and yoga expert and Mr. Mohammed Mushir, Yoga trainer from Ayush Mankalaya guided students on various yoga asanas, pranayam and meditation. Dr. Shraddha Anilkumar, Principal, DAKM, provided able guidance for the success of the programme. The programme was conducted by Parineeta Harkare and Dr. Mugdha Deshpande. Dr. Meena Balpande, incharge of the programme, proposed a vote of thanks. All the teaching and non-teaching staff worked hard towards the programme successful.
