Heavy rain prevail the city and emerged to be a havoc for many as it has exposed the truth of arrangements made to tackle with rain water.
In a horrific incident took place near Khairi village in Saoner a Truck driver made a narrow escape from the death as his truck was washed away due to heavy rainfall on Tuesday evening.
A truck bearing number RJ 06/GA 7177 was trapped in the broken part of bridge but fortunately no casualties were reported as a truck driver managed to escape in a nick of time.
The bridge that washed away was a temporary bridge which was being constructed on National Highway Number 753 near Khairi. The bridge washed away at 1:30 am on Wednesday morning due to heavy rain.
Due to the incident the traffic has been disrupted on Khapa Parseoni road.
According to the reports the construction of the bridge was being carried out on a very slow pace as not even one slab has been constructed in last one year of the commencement of the work.
Similar situation is prevailing in Kodegaon Bridge. The bridge at Khairi village in Saoner Tehsil cannot be re-constructed until the water recedes.
