International Master Raunak Sadhwani secured his second GM norm at  the Purtichju International Open Chess Tournament at France. It was one of the strong open tournament where elite players of the world participated. Getting an entry itself is quite difficult but seeing his consistent performance , the organisers registered him and there he showed his phenomenal chess and made his own country , state and city proud and made his 2nd GM norm and also Finished his tournament on a high note by winning the second prize with a whooping prize of 1700 EUROS .
13 year 6 months chess prodigy made his presence felt at France by playing with strong players . He scored 7  points in nine round tournament and also achieved his 2nd GM norm with a rating performance of 2614 (2600 is required to make a GM norm). This takes his live rating to 2495. He now require just 5 rating points and 1 GM norm to become a Grandmaster  . To become a GM a player need – 3 GM norms and 2500 rating.
Played brilliant chess in such a strong field with an amazing performance . He has moved from strength to strength and always trying to take his game to the next level . Five times Former world champion –Vishwanathan Anand predicted a bright future for this young lad and he is staying true to the words of the legend.
