Jayendra Dhole enters final in four categories

Experienced  shuttler Jayendra Dhole stamped showed his class by entering  the finals in the four events in Nagpur District Veteran’s Badminton Tournament organised by Nagpur District Badminton Association (NDBA) at Subhedar Hall, here on Saturday.

In men’s 40 singles event  Dhole entered the final. He surprised top seed Rituparna Majumdar 21-12, 21-14. Then in the doubles event, Dhole and his partner Ashish Khedikar downed Devashis Barick and Manish 21-10, 21-16.
In the men’s doubles 35 event Dhole and his partner Ajay Dayal stunned top seed Jinesh NV and  Mahesh Lokhande 21-9, 21-17 and entered the final. Then in the mixed doubles event semis pairing with Anamika Durgpurohit he defeated Saneer Rawale-Mrunalini Akotkar 21-13, 21-19 in straight two games.  The finals will be played on Sunday from  8 a.m. onwards.

Men’s singles 35 quarters: Sunil Chandnani bt Lalitkumar Khonde (1) 16-21, 21-16, 21-15; Jinesh NV bt Prashant Thawkar 21-16,  22-20; Ajay Dayal bt Rituparna Majumder, , 21-17, 21-9; Sachin Kuthe bt  Rakesh Babu (2)  21-13, 21-11 .
Men’s doubles 35 semis: Ajay Dayal and Jayendra Dhole bt Jinesh NV and Mahesh Lokhande (1) 21-9, 21-17 .
Women doubles 35 semis: Manisha Bhawatkar and Swati Khandekar bt  Anamika Durgpurohit and Monali Jain 21-16;  21-15 ; Ketkee Kanitkar and Prerna Sadhankar bt Anjali  Kale and Mrunalini Akotkar  21-13, 10-21, 21-15.
Mixed doubles 35 semis: Sunil Chandnani and Manisha Bhawatkar bt  Prasad Gharote and Manjiri Dhok  21-12, 21-15; Jayendra Dhole and Anamika Durgpurohit bt Sameer Rawale and Mrunalini Akotkar  21-13, 21-9.
Men’s singlrs 40 semis: Jayendra Dhole, bt Rituparna Majumder (1) 21-12, 21-14; Homiyar Dumasia bt Suparn Deshmukh (2) 21-11 21-12 .
Mens’ doubles 40 semis: Ashish  Khedikar and Jayendra Dhole bt Devashis Barick and Manish 21-10, 21-16 .
Men’s singles 45 semis: Anand Dharmadhikari bt Somesh Lanjewar 21-7 19-7 Ret.; Manish bt Sameer Rawale 21-5 21-10 .
Men’s doubles 45 semis: Gurdeep Arora and Manish (1) bt Pankaj Tiwari and Santosh Pande 16-21, 21-9, 21-18 ; Anand Dharmadhikari and Robin Simon bt  Manoj Jain and Sushil Mehadia  21-13, 18-21, 21-11 .
Men’s doubles 55 semis: Mahesh Sarangi and Shivaditya Tripathi bt Makrand Naik and Ramdas Titarmare 21-13, 21-13 ; Kamlakar Motghare and Rajeev Kala bt Anand Kasrekar and Shrikant Deshpande  21-12, 23-21.
Men’s singles 55 semis: Alok Kanodia bt Dhanram Khonde 21-6, 18-21, 21-12 ; Shrikant Deshpande bt Sanjay Bhargava 23-21, 21-9 .
