Omega Hospital, NOGS organises a workshop on ‘Window of Opportunity’

Omega Hospital in association with Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society and Om Charitable Trust organized ‘Window of Opportunity’ workshop on First Trimester Scan.

Fetal Medicine is upcoming branch of Obstetrics and is gaining importance in day to day practice. Various congenital anomalies and conditions such as Down Syndrome are detected at an early stage because of advances in field of Fetal Medicine.

Dr Pratima Radhakrishnan from Banglore was the star faculty for the programme. She talked on the scenario of First Trimester Scan in India and its impact on Obstetric outcome. Dr Geetendra Sharma from Ahmedabad spoke on medico legal aspect. Dr SonalFadtare, Dr Saket Thakkar, Dr Nidhi Shetty highlighted various topics at CME.

Workshop was inaugurated by Dr Bhavana Sonkusale, Nodal Officer PCPNDT, and Dr Z Fidvi ,HOD GMC Nagpur, Dr Laxmi Shrikhande, Vice President ICOG, Dr Sulbha Joshi, HOD NKPSIMS, Dr Prashant Uikey, HOD IGMC as guests of honour.

Dr Chaitanya Shembekar Director of Omega Hospital and also as President of Om Charitable trust, Dr Priyanka Kamble, President NOGS, Dr Kshama Kedar Secretary NOGS took great efforts to make this programme great success. Workshop was attended by over 200 delegates from Nagpur and central India.

Dr Bhavana appreciated the work done by Omega Hospital, NOGS and Om Charitable Trust. She said that such workshops are necessary to update the knowledge in the fast evolving field of USG.
