Central Railway Divisional Manager Somesh Kumar will unfurl the tricolour at the office at 8.30 am.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation
NMC has organized a flag hoisting programme to mark Independence Day. Mayor Nanda Jhichka will unfurl the flag, at NMC office, at 7.05 am.
Western Coalfields Limited
Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Western Coalfields Limited will hoist the National Flag in WCL Hqrs at 9.45 am on August 15, 2019 (Independence Day). WCL Directors and Leaders of Trade Unions will be present prominently on the occasion.
Mishra will inspect the guard of honour presented by WCL Security Jawans and address the WCL family. He will also distribute prizes to the outstanding personnel/performers of the Company.
South Central Zone Cultural Centre has organised a cultural programme of students of Delhi Public School, Kamptee Road, at SCZCC premises, at 6 pm on August 14. About 200 students will present ten programmes including dance, skit and songs and band. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Chinmay Pandit, dance guru Shrimati Madkholkar, neurologist Dr Shailesh Kelkar and gynaecologist Dr Arti Kelkar will be the guests.
Orange City Photographers Club is organising an exhibition of photographs, from August 15 to 19 at Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery, Lokmat Bhavan, to mark World Photography Day and the Club’s Foundation Day. Dr Deepak Khirwadkar, Director of SCZCC will inaugurate the exhibition at 4 pm on August 15. Former Chairman of Computer Society of India Vinod Varma will be the guest. The prize distribution programme at 5 on August 19 will be held at the hands of Chairman, Maharashtra Lions Club International Sunil Vora and noted photographer Jayant Harkare.
Musical Programmes in the city:
Yedein Fir Rafi musical programme will be held at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, by noted singer Mohammad Munaf, at 7 pm on August 15. Social worker Priti Das will be honoured with award at the hands of Commissioner of Police Dr BK Upadhyay and Ex-MP Datta Meghe. Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kadam and Dr Rajesh Baghe will be the guests of honour.
Swarnadarpan Bahuddeshiya Sanstha and Sangeet Academy has organised musical programme of patriotic songs at Bakde Celebration Hall, Cement Road, Manewada, at 6 pm. The programme has been conceptualized by Dr Meenakshi Badbuddhe and Narendra Zarbade.
Karaoke Musical Programme
Rising Star Karaoke Musical Group has organised a musical programme at Amrut Bhavan, North Ambazari Road, at 6 pm on August 15. The programme is being organised with the initiative of Kamini Bhagwat and Ganesh kumar Nikam.
