Scintillating show of skills by CPS Katol road students in Censports

Skilled Sports enthusiasts of Centre Point School Katol Road participated in the various sports events organized by Centre Point School, Dabha as part of Censports, an Inter-School Sports fest hosted by CPS Dabha from July’ 24th to 26th, 19.

Skating: In the Skating Competition held on 24th July’19 and conducted by Nagpur District Roller Skating Association, Kavya Jeswani a promising skater won a Gold. Aditya Raman and Aleena Hasham also won a Gold each and Hurain Fazlani bagged a Silver. Thus, the medal tally in Skating for CPS Katol road was 3 Golds & 1 Silver. The skaters were coached by the school coach Upendera Varma.

CPS Katol Road players wonBasketball: It was a blanket finish for the U/16 hoopsters of Centre Point School Katol Road in the Censports Basketball Tournament. The CPS Katol Road team gave an outstanding performance in the Semifinals defeating CPS WN team by 20 points. In the Finals the CPS KR team was at the Runners Up position & received medals. The team included Shomira Bidaye, Shreya Gupta, Gunjan Mantri, Disha Agrawal, Eesha Kulkarni, Saumya Sarda, Suditi Dhanecha, Sufi Bhatnagar, Devika Khadia, Shrisha Sawarkar, Saee Deshmukh, Ananya Agrawal. The players were trained by the school coaches Bhagyashree Soman, Abhijeet Thugaonkar, Vinay Chikate. The Principal, Vice Principals, staff & students applauded the players.CPS Katol Road players won applause Gymnastics: In the Censports Gymnastics event held on 26th July’19. Centre Point School, Katol Road gymnasts gave a scintillating performance. The Girls won the Overall Girls Championship with 31.10 points. These skilled gymnasts included Anmol Bansal, Manya Sodhai, Manvi Wahane, Samaira Pacheriwala, Vidhi Khandelwal, Hemashree Dhandhania, Aditi Kartik, Mairaa Karwade, Zoya Bhiwapurkar, Aarna Verma, Saisha Warambhe & Tvisha Sutaria.

Among the Boys, Jaikrit Suchak won a Gold with 8.60 points & Aaryav Sharma won a Bronze with 7 points. The jubilant gymnasts were commended by the school coach Parikshit Mangrulkar. Shilpee Ganguly, Principal, CPS KR also applauded the champs.CPS Katol Road players won applause Lawn Tennis: In the Censports Inter School Lawn Tennis Tournament the CPS Katol Road players won applause for their skill & stamina. In the matches conducted from 24th to 26th July’19, the U/17 Girls of CPS Katol Road beat CPS W’Nagar by 2:1 in the Final Match. In the Finals of the U/17 Boys Match, CPS KR bagged the Runners Up position. The players were awarded a Trophy, Medals & Certificates.

The U/17 Girls team included – Omshree Prasad, Gauri Prasad, Dilan Setiya & Anoushka Saraf. The U/17 Boys team included – Amay Dhanwatey, Shivansh Tapadiya, Vansh Patodia and Siddharth Pacheriwala.

The winners and Anil Lambat, the school coach were applauded in the morning assembly. On the basis of the cumulative points of all the events, the Overall Championship Trophy was jointly awarded to Centre Point School Katol Road and Centre Point School Dabha.
