G.S. College of Commerce to Organize 3 National Level Conferences

G.S. College of Commerce and Economics Nagpur is three major National Level conferences in the duration of September and October. The conferences are organized in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Sciences and Research (ICSSR) under the Impactful Policy Research in Social Science (IMPRESS) scheme.

The IMPRESS scheme will help in promoting quality research in social sciences leading to policy-formation in related areas. The conferences are said to cover varied themes related to rural development, rural transformation through employability skills, and the impact of economic reforms on the growth of the Indian economy. Renowned academicians and scholars from reputed institutes in India are visiting the conferences as resource persons.

The first national conference will be held from September 18-19 on the topic ‘Developing New Insights for the Development of Gramin Bharat (Rural India)’ and the conference will be inaugurated under the guidance of Dr. V M Bhale, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. Dr. Anand Venkatesh from IRMA, Gujarat. Interested delegates can submit their research papers on ranjanatsahu@rediffmail.com.

The second National Conference on the topic ‘Employability Skill Sets for Rural Transformation’ is scheduled on September 26-27. The conference would be inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of RTM Nagpur University, Dr S P Kane. Interested delegates can submit their research papers on sonaligadekar@rediffmail.com.

The third national conference on the topic ‘Impact of Economic Reforms on the Growth of Indian Economy’ is scheduled on October 10-11. Conference will be inaugurated by the hands of Pro-VC Dr. Vinayak Deshpande RTMNU. Dr. P N Mishra from Devi Ahilya University, Indore will deliver a keynote address in the presence of delegates. Interested participants can submit their research papers to morey.shubhangi@gmail.com.

Two best papers presented in each technical session of each conference will receive cash prizes of Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000, respectively. Selected papers also will be published in Conference Proceedings for each conference. Findings and some policy-measures from the conferences would be submitted to ICSSR/MHRD.
