Additional marks change evaluation

It’s time for the change, and the education system in the state needs a much-awaited transformation. In March 2019, the results of SSC and HSC in the state had decreased in state as the additional marks were not given and a large number of students were not successful. The students are demanding that they are given additional marks in languages and social science subjects.

After the furore, the government has decided to give an additional 20 marks to the students; the overall evaluation method has changed. Hence the board will be giving training to teachers in this regard. Change in evaluation also changed the exam pattern from standard ninth till twelfth standards. A committee presided by the education commissioner was formed to change the evaluation method.

The committee gave its recommendations and the new evaluation method will be implemented from 2019-20. The Nagpur Divisional Education Board Secretary Ravikant Deshpande said that committee has finalized the pattern of the question paper. The training for subject teachers would be held from September 24 to 29 in Nagpur district and it’s mandatory for all the subject teachers to attend the training.
