The reckless and irresponsible attitude of the civic administration of the city has again reflected as the NMC has recently carried out digging in newly constructed roads in the city.
This strengthens the approach of the NMC towards its citizens. The taxes citizens pay have been used for the construction of the roads, and now they are digging off the same road. It is being noticed by the citizens that the newly developed road are being dug again as the municipal corporation has had a lack of interaction with the other government agencies.
The cement roads and even tar roads which were recently constructed in the city are being dug as NMC lost a track to build ducts alongside roads, while the construction even started. This approval of the digging process was permitted by the Chief Minister with a provision of few funds of his South West Constituency.
Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has started to dig the roads to put power cables in many areas. This permission was given by NMC itself. During this construction, many of the roads and footpaths are being destroyed and a finely build stretch of many areas has again become a miserable route to drive on.
Areas like Bajaj Nagar, VNIT Square, and Khamla are majorly affected by such moves of NMC.
