Recently the city has witnessed many cases of encroachment on footpaths. And after many incidents have reported Commissioner of Police Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay has taken action regarding in this matter. For this purpose, city police has started taking aggressive steps to remove the encroachment on footpaths. Police in coordination with Nagpur Municipal Commissioner has removed the encroachments at 20 various areas in Nagpur. Apart from this, they will focus on these 20 areas for two months with care would be taken that the encroachers would not return on the footpath. After two months of continuous watch, pedestrians would become habitual of using footpaths; encroachers too would understand that they would not have any alternative than to go somewhere else.
After two months we will go for other areas. This exercise would continue till we remove the encroachment completely.
