NDS fines builders over keeping material on road

Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) of Nagpur Municipal Corporation had  carried out many works  to maintain the cleanliness in the city especially  in the month of November and the city still seems to be under the same condition were people are seen spitting and spreading unhygienic conditions around the clean residences.

The calculated fines collected by the NDS has been recently released where the most fines collected was from the builders and citizens who have been using the road to keep their building material. Many of the areas which are jam packed during the rush hours are facing more congestion as these building materials are kept on the road. Also, sometimes it is seen that the vehicles passing by these routes, lose their grip due to a large amount of sand of gravel spread on the road.

The fines collected by NDS were sixty nine lakh four thousand for keeping all the building material on roads. The material included cement sacks, gravel and sand and even bamboo. For this inconvenience several citizens and five builders have been fined. The builders were changed a hefty amount of rupees 10,000 each whereas 347 citizens were charged depending on the amount of the material they accumulated on the roads.

The senior authority of NDS told TLN “ It can be noticed that the condition city of is getting better month by month, even though we have enough cases of keeping building material on the road, the spitting and urination cases have been decreasing drastically.”
