Many of the areas which are jam packed during the rush hours are facing more congestion as these building materials are kept on the road. Also, sometimes it is seen that the vehicles passing by these routes, lose their grip due to a large amount of sand of gravel spread on the road.
The fines collected by NDS were sixty nine lakh four thousand for keeping all the building material on roads. The material included cement sacks, gravel and sand and even bamboo. For this inconvenience several citizens and five builders have been fined.
