It has been reported that on the occasion of 353rd birth anniversary (Prakash Parv) of Shri Guru Gobind Singh, Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal has organized ‘Icchha Purak Prarthna Saptah Path’ from December 27 (Friday) to January 2, 2020 (Thursday). This is the Golden Jubilee year of celebration of Shri Guru Govind Singh birth anniversary celebration by the Mandal.
According to convener Adv Madhavdas Mamtani, Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal has organized prayers,‘Iccha Purak Prarthna Saptah Path’ of Shri Guru Granth Saheb with ‘Prasad’ and offering garland on the concluding seventh day, wherein prayers will be made to fulfill the desires of devotees and also for removal of sorrows/obstacles etc.
As per information, the programme will commence on December 27 at 1.15 pm with the recital of Shri Japuji Saheb, Shri Sukhmani Saheb, followed by ‘Paath’ of Shri Guru Granth Saheb.It will continue for seven days from 1.15 pm to 6.30 pm every day. From December 28 to January 2‘ShabadKirtan’, discourses will be held from 5.30 am to 8.30 am every day. ‘Ichha Purak Prarthna’ (prayers) will be performed at Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal Hall, Jaripatka.
As per source, a person desirous of participating in ‘Ichhapurak Prarthana Saptah Path’ has to attend ‘Satsang’ and do‘Paath’ for all seven days and keep his head covered during the rituals. The devotees have to consume only vegetarian foods, and abstain from liquor and tobacco for seven days. On January 2, 2020, a grand‘Shobhayatra’ (procession) comprising various floats on the life of Shri Guru Gobind Singh and other Gurus will be taken out. The devotees from the city and Raipur, Jaipur, Bhopal, Wardha, Amravati, Gondia, Saoner, Allahabad, Bhandara, Chhindwara will be participating in the events. Special buses and private vehicles have been arranged from various places of city for the devotees.
