The Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) in the meeting conducted on Tuesday decided to give monthly house rent to project affected persons (PAPs) of the Smart City scheme till they get new flats.
As per information, the move is likely to expediate works being carried out under the Smart City project.
The NSSCDCL board approved the monthly house rent of Rs.5000 for PAPs whose residential structure is below 700 sq ft.And PAPS owing residential structure above 700 sq ft will be given an additional amount of Rs 7.5 per sq ft along with Rs.5000.And in the case of commercial structures, monthly house rent will be Rs.10000 for below 700 sq ft and an additional Rs.7.5 per sq ft.
Under the project which covers Pardi, Punapur, Bharatwada and Bhandewadi in East Nagpur NSSCDCL has commenced to develop road along with all types of basic amenities like footpath, street lights, storm and sewage water network and duct for laying cable under tender SURE concept at a cost of Rs.650 crore.
NSSCDCL has offered compensation to PAPs or new flats with all types of facilities in its housing scheme. Most of the PAPs rejected the compensation offer and demanded new flats. And as per information, it will take over a year for completion of the housing scheme. As per the source, the NSSCDCL board amended its Rehabilitation and Resettlement(R&R) policy and made provisions of house rent in the meeting. As per information,NSSCDCL board also approved development of city’s first solar power-based electric vehicles charging station inside Mor Bhavan bus stand at a cost of Rs.4.07 crore and it will have the capacity to generate solar power of 120Kwp.
