Swacch Association and Pugmarg in Association with Nagpur Municipal Corporation, PDKV College of Agriculture with support from Nagpur Metro, Paper traders association, Sundar Biscuit Industries, Ashoka Buildcon organized a drawing & painting competition with a plantation drive “GREEN CANVAS” for all age groups starting from 5 years and onwards was organised on January 19.Participants drew and paint on the following topics
1) Environmental Conservation
2) Waste Management / 3 R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle)
3) Global warming
4) Child and Women Safety.
The Competition was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Hon’ble Mayor Sandip Joshi. Guest of Honour, Hon’ble Associate Dean PKV Dr. D M Panchbhai, Add. Commissioner Mohite, Chairman Education Committee NMC Dilip Dive, Devendra Mahajn from Smart City Corporation, Education Officer Priti Mishirikotkar, Other officials, Corporators, School-College principals, students and citizens of Nagpur were present at the opening of the Ceremony.The event has been curated and conceptualized by Anasuya Kale Chhabrani from Swacch Association, Harish Adatiya, Pugmarg, Sharad Paliwal, Poonam Dixit, Wasudev Mishra, Parimal Bhakre, Ankit Goyal, Saurabh Thakre, Anuradha Pande, Shreyash Bajpayee, Laximichand Chijwani, Ritesh Mankar, Priyanka Gupta, Kajol Shende and Shreya Kanojiya other Swachh and Pugmarg Volunteers.
A special Attraction to the competition was the Ganpati made from Scrap Metal made by Arvind Tote, Professor S.B. Jain Insititute of Technology.
Around 4000 Students with their parents and teachers from Various Age Groups have participated in this Competition, in which all of them took a Sapling back to their homes which ensured their commitment towards environment and for a Better tomorrow. This Competition concluded the NMC’s Mummy Papa You too campaign initiated by Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
The Results of this Competition will be announced on February 2nd, 2019. Exciting prizes will be awarded to the winners, worth Rs. 100000 like Laptops, tablets, bicycles, smartwatches, etc along with special certificate of appreciation. The prize-winning paintings will be auctioned and the prize money will be given to the winner themselves.
